Bob Buford Receives 2005 Christian Management Award
Bob Buford, chairman of the board of The Buford Foundation, author of Halftime, and the founder and chairman of Leadership Network, recently received the Christian Management Association's 2005 Christian Management Award.

Buford, former chairman and CEO of Texas-based Buford Television, Inc., a large network of cable systems, which he sold in 1999, launched Leadership Network in 1984. He is also the author of four books: Halftime: Changing Your Game Plan from Success to Significance, Game Plan, Stuck in Halftime, and his latest, Finishing Well: What People Who REALLY Live Do Differently. The "Halftime" movement has fueled a revolution of service and innovation among men and women who are focusing on God's plan for the "second half" of their lives. Now ten years later, the vision of Halftime continues to impact virtually every CMA member ministry and church.

Buford was also the founder and initial chairman of the board of the Peter F. Drucker Foundation for Nonprofit Management, now named the Leader to Leader Institute. He has given generously of his time to CMA. He was a member of the CMA board of directors (1988 - 1991), the stimulus for
CMA's strategic planning process in 1995, and Buford has also served as a workshop and keynote speaker at CMA conferences in 1998, 2001, 2004 and 2005.
