Did you know that it takes
$7.71 to provide for one minute of Sigma Nu's
operations? That's right only $7.71 to give our
undergraduate members leadership training, scholarship
assistance, and educational programs that are
without equal in the Greek community. Sigma Nu
serves over 8000 undergraduates on almost 200
college and university campuses every day. That's
less than $1.40 per student per day!
Because of the generosity of our alumni, Sigma
Nu's undergraduate members have the opportunity
to experience some of the best leadership training
programs available. Whether these opportunities
are on the local chapter level, a part of regional
Fraternity meetings, or national Fraternity conferences,
Sigma Nu continues to improve the quality and
quantity of experiences to prepare members for
leading in the world after graduation. For instance,
this past year, the Fraternity held 18 regional
LEAD Institutes educating over 510 undergraduate
leaders. Through the LEAD Institute's interactive
curriculum, participants learn the basics of effective
facilitation and receive hands-on experience in
facilitating experiential learning activities
and exercises. The Fraternity plans to expand
the number of LEAD Institutes to 21 this academic
year and 24 next year based upon available funding.
Without the support of loyal alumni, through tax-deductible
contributions to the Sigma Nu Educational Foundation,
the Fraternity would not be able to continue developing
and maintaining these programs.

Note: As reported in the January issue of
The Rock, by contributing monthly via
Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), many alumni
find that they are able to make a larger annual
gift to support Sigma Nu. EFT gifts also help
the Foundation with budgeting and cash flow.
