Office of Admission Implements New Student Referral System; Jewell "CARDS" Make Impact with Student Recruitment Office of Admission Implements New Student Referral System; Jewell "CARDS" Make Impact with Student Recruitment Knowing the tremendous resource alumni prove to be in recommending potential students, the Office of Admission has developed a partnership with alumni titled Jewell CARDS (Cardinal Alumni Recruiting Distinguished Students). Alumni volunteers in the Jewell CARDS program are instrumental in recruiting the next generation of potential WJC students. CARDS act as a sounding board for potential students, and assist in the admissions process by sharing their Jewell journey through personal emails, notes, and letters to prospective students who have expressed a high level of interest in attending Jewell. Feedback from the program has been promising, prompting one prospective student to write to her WJC Admission Counselor: "I have made my decision to attend Jewell in the fall. I'm very excited! I feel that I've made a great choice. I've been corresponding with a 1999 graduate from Jewell who is a kindergarten teacher and she has helped me confirm I am making the right decision. I love that I've had someone to talk to who is out in the 'real world' after experiencing college."
